Service dogs and service dogs under training can accompany you in the cabin on most of our flights at no extra cost. It is easy to book a place for your service dog through our Callcenter +46(0)770 790 700.

We recommend that you book at least 48 hours before departure to make sure there is room. Different conditions apply depending on the type of assistance the service animal is used for and where you are traveling.

• An assistance dog is specially trained to assist people with disabilities.
• Assistance dogs can include guide dogs, signal dogs for the deaf and service dogs that are trained to help people who use a wheelchair, have autism or need help keeping their balance, or for other conditions such as epileptic seizures. , low blood sugar or mental illness.
• Assistance dogs are allowed in the cabin on all our flights in Sweden.

• Police dogs and rescue dogs are specially trained to assist personnel in law enforcement agencies or other organizations that are responsible for search and rescue activities.
• Police dogs and rescue dogs are allowed in the cabin on all flights within Sweden.

• An emotional support dog assists people with mental or emotional disabilities. Dogs for emotional support do not need to have undergone any special training, but the person traveling with the dog must bring documentation proving that they are in need of this assistance.
• Dogs for emotional support are only allowed in the cabin on our flights. To be approved for flights to the UK, the dog must be trained and certified by a recognized organization for assistance dogs according to international standards.
• Flights must be booked through our Callcenter.
• Dogs for emotional support may only accompany a passenger in need of this assistance. Current documentation (issued no more than one year before the passenger's first flight) supporting the need for this assistance must be presented at check-in and accompany the animal on the journey.

The documentation must be issued by a licensed professional in psychiatry (ie psychiatrist, psychologist, licensed social worker with relevant skills or another doctor who treats the passenger's mental or emotional disability) and be drawn up on paper with his or her letterhead. The certificate must state the following:

• The passenger has a mental or emotional disability covered by the DSM IV (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders - Fourth Edition).
• The passenger needs the assistance of a dog for emotional support or a psychiatric service dog during the flight and / or for activities at the passenger's destination.
• The person issuing the certificate is a licensed professional in psychiatry and the passenger undergoes treatment with him.
• Information about the professional's license (license type, date of issue and state or other jurisdiction where the license has been issued).

Make sure your dog has all the necessary travel documents, including vaccination certificates. Any fines, costs or other expenses incurred due to insufficient documentation are your responsibility.

Blunt-nosed dogs such as bulldogs, boxers or Pekingese may have difficulty acclimatizing to certain temperatures and may have breathing problems. Talk to your veterinarian first if you plan to fly with a blunt-nosed dog.

Your service dog should be able to be easily identified as a service dog through an ID card, other written documentation, a harness, ID tags or credible oral declaration by a qualified person with special needs who travels with the service animal. Please note that documentation may only be required if the passenger's oral statement is not credible.
